Cataract is a world wide ophthalmic diseases. At present, most blind people caused by cataract are commonly treated by extracting lens and implanting intraocular lens through operation. The manufacture of intraocular lens has become mature both in home and abroad, but opacification of posterior capsule of lens (after cataract) may happen among partial patients after the operation of ultrasonic emulsification or extracapsular extraction, which is a main complication affecting the postoperative visual recovery, and its nosogenesis is still not clear. But proliferation and migration of lens epithelial cells left after the operation is the main reason of causing secondary cataract.
We produce this product in order to improve the structure of intraocular lens, which can prevent lens epithelial cells remained on ambitus to proliferate and migrate to posterior capsule, then proli- ferate and form membranous opacity, and thus make the postoperative visions of patients achieving expected effects.
In order to achieve the above aim, this product is added a ring shaped convex on the edge of the second side of intraocular lens on the basis of common intraocular lens After implanting this kind of intraocular lens into the capsule of patient, the convex can prevent the proliferated epithelial cells to grow along the posterior surface, and thus keep visual axis clear. This product is fit for any types of intraocular lens, and has no change in the process of operation and service.
