1、‘Stand together, hands linked to hearts’ ---Donation to 5.12 Sichuan Earthquake

　　　　The Chinese saying: ‘Disaster comes fiercely, but couldn’t destroy the loves from the hearted friends’. ‘One suffered in troubles, helps come from all sides’. The ‘5•12’ earthquake in Wenchuan shocked the world; the situation of refugees in disaster-stricken areas involved all Chinese people in it.
　　On the morning of May 14th, under the lead of management level, all the Universe IOL staff acted a donation to the 5.12 earthquake.
　　The Red Cross of Henan province awarded the honorary certificate to our company.

2、Vice-governor of Henan Province-Jichao Xu Visited Our Company
　　　　Henan province vice-governor Mr. Jichao Xu, led municipal delegation to visit our company in the afternoon of June 3rd, 2008. The delegation visited our facilities, got a well understanding to company’s management system and listened carefully to the reports regarding the company’s production and sales situation.
　　The vice- governor Mr. Jichao Xu highly emphasized on our achievements in recent years and applauded our distinguished potential development, outstanding economic benefits and expected the brighter development trend in the future.
　　He pointed out the company should grasp the current opportunities, to expand the enterprise scale aggressively and strengthen its core competition ability in the market. Also, we should continuously enhance the company’s abilities on researching and innovating new products to struggle for more policy supports and being to the head of this field both in domestic and overseas market.


3、Company’s Delegation Attended WOC 2008 in Hongkong
　　From June 28th to July 2nd of 2008, the Universe IOL’s delegation attended the 2008 World Ophthalmology Congress, which was held in HongKong International Convention and Exhibition Center. This great congress attracted 10,500 attendees and around 200 exhibitors from all over the world.
　　On this congress, our delegates had a face-to-face mind exchange with ophthalmologists and distributors from home and abroad, which played a very important role in advertising and laid a foundation for improving to our old products and developing to the new products in the future.
At the same time, this experience created much cooperation opportunity for us to explore the domestic and oversea sales markets.

4、International IOL Experts Exchanged Techniques in Our Company

　　On July 5th of 2008, the world famous intraocular lens expert from France visited our company.
　　During the visit time, both parties discussed and exchanged their ideas on aspherical intraocular lens’ design and cooperated on hydrophobic foldable lens trial manufacturing.
This activity promoted our company’s new products’ research and development work.

5、Attended ‘Blue Sea of China—International Forum of the Management’ Training Course
　　From July 19th to 20th, all staff from Universe IOL as well as the new employed undergraduates attended in the ‘Blue Sea of China—International Forum of the Management’ training course, which held by the Neet Training Center from Taiwan.
　　Listening to the brilliant lectures, which conducted by the lecture masters such as Shiqiang Zeng, Yong Liu, Mingzhi Li, not only enhanced the staff’s personal capability, but also inspired their potential ability in their future work. At the same time, the training course inspired the staff’s working activities and widened their thinking in the work, which lying a fixed foundation for work efficiency promotion to our staff.
6、Company Organized 2008 Summer Travel
　　In order to increase the cohesion of our company as well as to make our spare cultural life more colorful, our company organized 44 staff to have a tour to Rizhao city of Shandong Province in July of 2008, where is famous for the seascape and had a good reputation of “Oriental Sun city”. This journey promoted mutual understanding one another and benefited great unity of our entire company.

7、Attended 2008 ESCRS Congress in Berlin, Germany
From September 13th to September 17th, our International Sales Dept. attended the 2008 ESCRS (summer) Congress held in Berlin, Germany. Berlin is one of the most famous cities all over the world, which was named as ‘the center of Europe’ and ‘the conjunction-point of western and oriental culture in the world’.
Except for inviting a number of world well-known ophthalmologic experts to have a mind exchanges on ophthalmology development trend and the newest techniques, the congress also conducted about 100 satellite lectures, reports of thesis and video documentaries demonstrations, which drew over 8,000 attendees from more than 150 countries and regions and about 200 exhibitors all around the world.
From this congress, we acquainted ourselves with much up-to-date information about intraocular lens, which will be great helpful for us to analyze the development trends and position our products in the sales markets properly.

8、Attended the 10th Nationwide Eye Injury and Surgery Seminar
Our company assigned the salesmen in the domestic Sales Dept. to attend the 10th Nationwide Eye Injury and Surgery Seminar, which held in Kaifeng city of Henan Province from October 24th to October 28th, 2008.
The attendees include famous ophthalmologists, professors and oculists gave us high praise for our good-quality and best after-sales service.

9、Obtained the Registration Certificate for Foldable Lens
The new generation product——Hydrophilic Foldable Intraocular Lens, which was developed by ourselves has obtained the registration certificate from the State FDA on 27th October, 2008 with the certificate number YZB/G 1223-2008, it indicates this kind of product can be on sale in our domestic market legally.
The launch of this product is not only enriched our products variety and enhanced our competitive power in the market, but also exploited the domestic market in a better way on the premise of fixing overseas market. All of this makes it a new milestone for the development of our company.

10、Long-distance Running Activities
On October 31st, 2008, around 30 staff from our company took part in the Long-distance Running Celebration for the 20th Anniversary of Founding of Zhengzhou High-tech Industries Development Zone.
Our delegation was organized orderly and maintained the discipline, each one of them was unwilling to lag behind, which well demonstrated the fine quality and graceful behaviors of our staff as well as the united and vigorous company image.


11、Attended the 2008 AAO Congress in Atlanta, USA”
　　Atlanta, the state capital of Georgia and the 26th Olympic Games host city, held the 2008 AAO Congress from November 8th to November 11th. Our delegation took part in this exhibition and aimed to seeking overseas agents.
　　The ophthalmologists from many countries visited our booth to inquiry about our products, especially for our new patented product-Glaucoma Drainage Implant. Most of them praised our products and gave us their warm suggestions to their market after their question explained by our delegation in a very detailed way.
　　The distributors from Argentina, Columbia, Egypt, Turkey and Pakistan showed their great interests and cooperation desires to us on our products, which gave us much confidence to strengthen and exploit the international sales market.
